Our biking and cycling tours are as diverse as the valley: on its 63 kilometers, the Ötztal presents fascinating as well as varied landscapes. Open, wide valley floors and steeply rising rocky scenery, babbling brooks and the wild course of the Ötztaler Ache river. Warm bathing lakes and high waterfalls, idyllic alpine pastures and impressive ice worlds. You pass through 5 valley levels from the mild climate at the valley entrance to the high alpine regions of the three-thousand-meter peaks around Sölden and Gurgl - or better yet, you cycle through them.

The wide high plateau of Niederthai invites you to a leisurely bike ride for the whole family: With free rental bikes you start directly in front of the BIO pension Veitenhof. Take a bike ride, look at the landscape, enjoy the organic snack you brought with you or a refreshment on the alpine pasture: this is what cycling in Tyrol can look like!

Around Niederthai in the Ötztal you will find the most beautiful mountain bike trails for every level. The alpine terrain is perfect for sports bikers, summit strikers, competitive and extreme athletes who want to push their limits when biking. Train for the next Ötztal Marathon, conquer the 79 km long Ötztal MTB Trail or let your calves really glow on challenging uphills. Single trails with flowing passages, fast downhills and mountain bike tours up to the glacier region really leave nothing to be desired.

Mountain biking for everyone: rent e-bikes

E-bikes easily compensate for differences in condition when cycling and mountain biking: So even less trained cyclists can keep up. You are welcome to rent e-bikes from us at the Veitenhof. For all those who want to improve their biking technique or would like to bike with professional guidance, there is the Ötztal Bike School. At the school's own practice area you can prepare yourself for all the challenges of MTB tours. Three guided MTB tours (Basic, Advanced, Expert) are offered weekly from Mon-Sat.

To make your mountain biking or cycling vacation as enjoyable as possible, Tyrol offers a wide range of quality-tested mountain bike and cycling accommodation. The quality of the establishments is constantly checked by an expert and we are very proud to be able to meet the criteria for this.

Our bike cellar offers your bike a worthy home. E-bikers will find enough charging stations for their bikes. Screwdrivers can keep your bikes in shape at our large workbench.
