Our Haflinger breeding

The heart of our senior boss August Leiter belongs entirely to the blond beauties on four legs: The farm's own Haflinger breeding produces sure-footed, strong-nerved, robust and repeatedly award-winning Haflinger horses.

Haflinger horses are the typical horse breed of the Tyrolean Alps. Small and powerful, with nerves of steel and sure-footedness, ideally suited for riding, driving carriages and transporting loads, these blond beauties can cope perfectly even on narrow mountain trails and in rough terrain. The Tyrolean Haflinger breeding is legendary - and we at the Veitenhof, are happy about our award-winning mother mares, about the lively offspring as well as about our world champion stallion "STAINZ", who comes from our stable.

On vacation with children at the farm, you can't get past the good-natured Haflingers: even the smallest ones are guided on horseback by Michael Leiter (Michl), and during joint horse care, rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, and certainly at the latest when petting our sweet Haflinger foals, the "Haflinger virus" finally jumps over!
