For all those who want to experience winter on two runners, there are several perfectly prepared natural toboggan runs in Niederthai and the surrounding area. A sociable and fun toboggan run including a stop is great fun for young and old.
Natural toboggan runs Larstig Alm & Schweinfurter Hütte
For special tobogganing fun, we recommend the 7 km long descent on the natural toboggan run from the Schweinfurter Hütte (2,028 m). Ascent along the prepared winter hiking trail. Toboggan rental at the Larstigalm or at the Schweinfurter Hütte.
Around the Tauferberg and also in the center of Niederthai there are numerous hills for a hearty toboggan run.

"I'll be on the slope" - a saying of Michl, which I hear almost every day.
Cross-country skiing has been the main focus in Niederthai for many years. Host Michael Leiter (Michl) is a state-certified cross-country instructor and himself very happy on the trails and it is a real concern for him that cross-country skiers and biathletes find everything they want for their winter sports in the house.
Afterwards, relax in our sauna, in the infrared cabin or treat yourself and your muscles to a well-deserved massage.
