Ice skating at Lake Piburg

A special experience is the magnificent natural ice arena at Lake Piburg. On a two-kilometer-long and four-meter-wide ice rink (snow-free and swept), the nature- and winter sports-loving ice skater can make his rounds. Entering the ice rink is also allowed for winter walkers. Cross the lake and feel the unique winter experience. And for those who want to warm up, there are inns in the immediate vicinity in Piburg. The use of the natural ice rink is free of charge!

Ice climbing in the Ötztal

On duel with the icy matter: during the trial ice climbing on frozen waterfalls, beginners learn what is important in this discipline: correct belaying, judging the various ice qualities and optimal crampon technique in different degrees of difficulty. Nocturnal climbers can let off steam in the spotlight during evening ice climbing, for example at the waterfall in Längenfeld. Experience the versatile touring possibilities at the numerous waterfalls in the Ötztal.

Stuibenfall & lantern hike

Marvel at the breathtaking natural spectacle at night - the illuminated Stuibenfall - Tyrol's largest waterfall. In winter illuminated every Wednesday from 18:00 - 22:00.

The Stuibenfall is closed in winter and for safety reasons it is recommended to go only to the first platform.
