Every day we experience the beautiful and breathtaking Ötztal mountains and understand how worth protecting an intact environment is. That is why we feel obliged to look after the environment for the next generations and to act in a resource-saving way.

When vacationing in the apartment & organic farm of the Veitenhof, we also take attention to sustainable use of natural resources. For us, sustainability is not just an empty phrase - we live it.

Our contribution to sustainability:

Our natural areas around our house are optimally maintained - as a result, our trees & shrubs bind about one ton of CO₂ per year.
Our thermal building renovation in 2018 will reduce the burden on our climate by 51.44 metric tons of CO₂ per year.
All apartments are built with renewable and natural building materials (mainly wood). Some walls in the interior were plastered with clay plaster and many also with Swiss stone pine wood from our own forest.
We have also used untreated pine wood for the exterior facade.
The cozy warmth in the house we generate 70% with wood and for the warm water provides a solar system.
We already get 100% electricity from renewable energy. An own photovoltaic system is planned for spring 22.
Waste recycling is carried out carefully.
We buy our food in organic quality and regionally.
Our guests can return food that they have not consumed to us.
We also pay attention to ecology when traveling. We offer 2 e-charging stations for your e-cars with electricity from 100% renewable energy.
Our organic farming and the resulting products such as creams, tea, liqueurs, St. John's wort oil, and of course our delicious organic breakfast buffet, underline the sustainable orientation of the Veitenhof.
